MARK WILCOX

PAINTINGS

Bio

When I was old enough to hold a crayon, I started drawing and pretty much never stopped.  Nowadays I'm usually holding a paintbrush.

I studied a bit of art in college, but my real education as a painter has come from every art book I've ever devoured and every artist whose work I've admired. And there are many.

I worked as a visual interaction designer in Silicon Valley for many years under the guidance of the brilliant David Willenbrink. The lessons I learned then have a lot to do with the way I see things now.

I firmly believe that landscapes are humanity's best hope for survival.
